What is Workplace Recycling?

From 6 April 2024, it became law for all businesses, charities, and public sector organisations in Wales to separate their waste for recycling. From 6 April 2026 the second phase of these regulations will roll out and these require the segregated collection of Small Waste Electricals and Electronic Equipment (sWEEE). To ensure all our customers are well-prepared for the upcoming changes, we’ve made it hassle-free to update waste containers to those required by the new obligations.

How Biffa can support you?

We’re offering paper and card plus plastic, metal and carton collection services to all our customers who may need to add recycling to their waste services. Plus, we’re providing flexible container options, allowing our customers to use either bags or bins for General Waste or recycling services. We’ve also published a helpful guide on Workplace Recycling. Download it now and share it with your colleagues to ensure you’re fully compliant with the new regulations by 6 April 2024.
